The Aventus glider comes with options you can construct the model specific for you, It can be built as a slope soarer, the kit also comes with the option of a simple and effective tow release to connect to a Tug and there is also the option to configure the model to be electric powered. All these options are included in the kit.
Initially the Aventus was born with a V Tail which works well especially on the slope where you usually are landing in rougher grass than a mown flying field.
We had some feedback from potential customers who were put off by the V Tail and wanted a traditional tail plane and fin with rudder and also wanted an electric version, so we have added all this to the kit as well.
The model has been designed to be as simple as possible to construct, there are no plans required, just a straight line on a bench to build over and a square will get you going on the construction.
A wing that builds up strong but still maintains being light.
Electric Option
- For the prototype models we have used the following equipment.
- Quantum 2 15 or 20 or 25 motor
- Beetles 30A ESC – 60A ESC to suit above motor and prop selection
- Battery – 3s 11.1v 2200 to 2700mAh LiPo 30cPropeller to suit motor, esc and battery choice,
- With a Quantum 25 we used an 10×6 folding prop with a 50mm spinner and a 60amp esc, while good on a 3s 2200mAh this setup also allowed us to try a 4s 2200 lipo which was extremely powerful and vertically out of site in seconds.
